Condolence: Dear Gallup and Ross families - I will only ever be able to picture Dawn with a bright smile on her face and her eyes twinkling. A new bright star shines down on us all now. I wish you much love and hope that the many memories of her generosity, poise, untamed spirit and sense of humor, and the love she showed for all are a comfort to you today and always. She will always be with us and she will always be remembered.

Jeff you and the boys will go on, but you will always have a place in your heart and memories of all the things you have done together. Condolence: Dear family and friends. Dawn was special. She sparkled! She was strong and brave. She made everyone feel like you were a special friend. I loved her fun loving spirit, her brilliance. She brightened every room. She lived in the present. She was always looking for ways to improve herself and others personally and professionally. She will be HUGELY missed. I am so sad.

May God provide you enough strength to face these difficult times, although no words can really help to ease the loss you bear, just know that you are very close in every thought and prayer.

I want to share a funny situation that occured with Dawn and I. While working on the CHS Class of '77 reunion committee, a list was comprised of 'missing classmates'. I noticed Jeff Gallup was on that list. I thought... uh why is he on the list? Isn't he a teacher, a coach, very visible guy... I could not understand why Jeff was on that list.
I called Jeff and Dawn's house, which was in the local phone book. I talked with Dawn, telling her this is an embarrassing phone call. I told her Jeff was missing from our class list. I asked if she had a home address so we could send his invitation to. Dawn cracked up laughing. Dawn said, well we've lived here over 10 years same address plus we have rec'd invites to previous reunions. How could we lose Jeff. Instead of where's Waldo... it became 'Where's Jeff". We laughed together. Dawn then said..."might be that someone heard me say he was in the dog house and they want that address." Laughter continued... When I think of Dawn... I think of laughter and her love for her family.

Condolence: Dawn was a remarkable woman who I was so proud to call my friend. In fact, having 3 Dawns in our group was special all by itself! Dawn's positive energy, amazing attitude and ability to always make us laugh are the things I will miss most about her. I have so many great memories of girls nights, races and many, many laughs. I will keep her family in my prayers.

Condolence: So very sorry to hear of Dawn's passing. I had the pleasure of working with Dawn on transition nights in my role at Kellogg Community College. I always looked forward to the yearly events so that I could spend some time with this lovely lady. My heart breaks for all those she left behind.

Condolence: Dawn was always upbeat, smiling, positive... and FUN!!! She definitely lived life to the fullest. The field of special education is better because she was in it.
