Condolence: Dear Gallup and Ross families - I will only ever be able to picture Dawn with a bright smile on her face and her eyes twinkling. A new bright star shines down on us all now. I wish you much love and hope that the many memories of her generosity, poise, untamed spirit and sense of humor, and the love she showed for all are a comfort to you today and always. She will always be with us and she will always be remembered.

Condolence: I have been here and I can only offer you my heartfelt sympathy. Jeff you and the boys will go on, but you will always have a place in your heart and memories of all the things you have done together. Jeff if I can ever be of help to you or you need to talk please feel that you can contact me. I know that we find ways to keep ourselves busy during the day, but the nights are the toughest to deal with, so again please know you can contact me.

Condolence: Dear family and friends. Dawn was special. She sparkled! She was strong and brave. She made everyone feel like you were a special friend. I loved her fun loving spirit, her brilliance. She brightened every room. She lived in the present. She was always looking for ways to improve herself and others personally and professionally. She will be HUGELY missed. I am so sad.

Condolence: My friend Jeff and sons... May God provide you enough strength to face these difficult times, although no words can really help to ease the loss you bear, just know that you are very close in every thought and prayer. I want to share a funny situation that occured with Dawn and I. While working on the CHS Class of '77 reunion committee, a list was comprised of 'missing classmates'. I noticed Jeff Gallup was on that list. I thought... uh why is he on the list? Isn't he a teacher, a coach, very visible guy... I could not understand why Jeff was on that list. I called Jeff and Dawn's house, which was in the local phone book. I talked with Dawn, telling her this is an embarrassing phone call. I told her Jeff was missing from our class list. I asked if she had a home address so we could send his invitation to. Dawn cracked up laughing. Dawn said, well we've lived here over 10 years same address plus we have rec'd invites to previous reunions. How could we lose Jeff. Instead of where's Waldo... it became 'Where's Jeff". We laughed together. Dawn then said..."might be that someone heard me say he was in the dog house and they want that address." Laughter continued... When I think of Dawn... I think of laughter and her love for her family.

Condolence: Dawn was a remarkable woman who I was so proud to call my friend. In fact, having 3 Dawns in our group was special all by itself! Dawn's positive energy, amazing attitude and ability to always make us laugh are the things I will miss most about her. I have so many great memories of girls nights, races and many, many laughs. I will keep her family in my prayers.

Condolence: So very sorry to hear of Dawn's passing. I had the pleasure of working with Dawn on transition nights in my role at Kellogg Community College. I always looked forward to the yearly events so that I could spend some time with this lovely lady. My heart breaks for all those she left behind.

Condolence: Dawn was always upbeat, smiling, positive... and FUN!!! She definitely lived life to the fullest. The field of special education is better because she was in it.

Condolence: My deepest condolences. I will remember Dawn as the consummate professional, a friend, and an advocate for students with special needs. She brought much to our profession, to our organization, to our students and, I am certain, to her local community. Dawn will be truely missed by me and her fellow colleagues across the state.

Condolence: Dawn was a monitoring friend of mine from Region 3. The times we all shared together at our meetings an retreats will forever be wonderful memories. Last year at CEC in March, Dawn and I spent the night dancing away in the evening. She was such a loving and delightful woman to be in the company of. She had such a positive spirit to overcome this disease. She will be greatly missed by so many of us in the field of special education across the State. I was blessed to have been her friend.

Condolence: Dawn was one of the administrators at BISD that hired me several years ago, for which I am forever grateful. She will be remembered for all she did for the students in Branch County. I will especially remember the care and commitment she put in to the yearly visits with the students to the Michigan Career and Technical Institute.

Condolence: Dawn was a wonderful inspiring person and it was a privilege to know her. She truly had a calling for special education, and cared deeply about students and educators and families. I saw this commitment especially in serving with her on the Parent Advisory Committee. One of her greatest joys during the school year was to be able to honor the many many people in the ISD through the Making a Difference award. Now I understand that she so loved doing that because she lived her life making a difference in the lives of the people around her. Praying for her dear family, and all of us who miss her so much.

Condolence: Dear Jeff, Zach, Ryan, and Jacob, What special memories we have of the Gallup Family! We can still hear Dawn's laugh and see her smile from many miles away. Those sure were some great football years together! We are sending you all of our love and prayers.

Condolence: I am so sorry to hear of your passing. I have many memories logged in my heart and mind.....of your enthusiasm and dedication to task. As one of the teachers you supervised, I remember with embarrassing and fond memories, your allusion to my utilization of outdated IEP forms one year at our beginning school-year meeting. It was so like me, but you used it for a point of levity that we in special education so needed. The years press on....and we are all on the approach runway. Condolence: I met Dawn a few months ago when she was out with a group of people days before surgery. She truly touched my life. I have kept her in my prayers since that fun night and I will cherish the renewed strength that she passed on to me. My life is better today because of that very night.
