As the winter chill blows across my face my heart aches and breaks because cancer has once again taken with it another courageous, strong, self-willed, determined, theatrical, fun; too young to die comrade of mine.
Like an unannounced fierce winter storm it came in unexpectedly raged on leaving shock and devastation.
The aftermath is unbearable as we try and go on and survive the loss that was brought on by this cancerous storm.
We can only hope that our memories will become like the blinding sun as it reflects off the snow, and that the memories will shine so bright that the pain of loss will be dimmed by them.
And eventually each memory will be as beautiful as diamonds in the glistening snow.
