My Aunt Mary always watched out for me. Once, around 8 or so, I tried to get into Uncle Doug's Mac & Cheese and she warned me that was not wise. Uncle Doug, really loved his Mac & Cheese! He chased me with a stick after I took a spoonful. I learned to listen to her! She saved my frozen feet at the age of 9/10, when I went through the ice at the city pond. her house was closest, just had to cross the the fair grounds , on skates. Thankfully, she was was home and stuck my frozen feet in a tub of cold water, hurt like h!@%, but saved all my toes. She was always smiling and I don't remember ever seeing her cross. She loved her family and tolerated her nephew. I will miss her so much!
