Growing up I had the privilege of calling the Brayton household my second family. Most weekends I could be found out at the Brayton’s playing video games, exploring in the woods behind their house or getting into trouble of some sort with Jason. Regardless of what kind of trouble Jason and I got into (all of which I blame Jason for), Greg was slow to anger and quick to laugh at our crazy antics. I’ll never forget his infectious laugh that would fill the house; he laughed a lot.
In addition to Greg’s laugh I’ll never forget the impact he made on me musically and spiritually. Hanging out with Jason so much gave me a lot of exposure to an amazing, incredible musician and a man of God. I consider myself extremely blessed to have had the opportunity to play music with Greg for many years. It takes a lot to get a teenage boy out of bed at 6 AM every Sunday morning (and to be excited about it). For me it took the chance to play drums behind Greg in the U.M.C. Praise Band. I have so many fond memories of playing music with Greg, participating in true Worship with him leading.
I pray that Sally, Spencer, Jason and family are comforted by the fact that Greg is now looking into the eyes of our creator in Heaven, laughing and singing his praises.
