My Memories

I have many fond memories of my grandmother, too many to write all down here. I went to live with my grandma when I was very young and she was always giving and caring, I never went without and she always gave me love. I lived with my grandmother until I was 17 years old and she was more than a grandma to me, she was a best friend, second mother and my grandma. I remember going to her mothers home to stay for weekends during the summer, or going to her sisters home and we would sit on the enclosed porch and talk for hours. I have always been around older adults all my life due to living with my grandma and being around older people and I thank her for teaching me how to cook, clean, and be able to take care of myself.  She came to live with me in Texas when she was in her late 80's and it was a very hard trip for her but she loved being with me and enjoyed the warmer weather. When I lived in Ohio she would come and stay for weeks. I never regret the time I spent with her or doing for her. Now she has gone and went to be with her loved ones in heaven for I know she was glad to see them all. I miss you grandma very much and still find it hard and wish many times that I still had one more day to share and be with you. I light your candle every Saturday and tell you good night and that I love you each night before I go to bed. I just want you to know that you will never be forgotten and you will be forever missed. Love your grandson Brent
