my love for wendell

Wendell Scott, i liked you form the first time i met you, i believe it was a barbacue at the lake. im sure you never thought your daughter would bring home a guy with hair longer than hers. you welcomed me with  a firm hand shake and a smile, and your great sense humor was a suprise. That day neither one of had any idea that our relationship would reach the height that it has over the past 25 yrs. You filled the void in my life after my own father's passing in 1993 i was not tottaly with out a "Dad" i have always enjoyed the times we spent together, wether it was projects around one of our homes or just a quiet cruise on the pontoon in the evening, or sneaking into Elias Brothers and indulging in one of thier strawberry short cakes when we were out and about. and of course you saying "Lets not let Linda and Heidi know.... OK".

I clearly remeber you, myself, and Katie making a trip to the farm in  ohio for some reason, and stopping at Round UP for lunch, Katie was thrilled to eat there and the laughs we had were great. People who have never been to Round up wouldn't understand.

The memories i have of you  are many i could go on for days, i am going to cherish the time i was able to spend with you and will recall the memories i have often, sharing them with a chosen few.

You will always hold a special place in my heart, i am truly blessed to have  you as a Father.

I love you Wendell
