Richard “Rick” Larry Sowers, 56, of Coldwater, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at his home.
A private memorial service will be held at later date in Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
Richard was born October 15, 1958 to Clifford L. and Ruth E. (Moses) Sowers in Plainwell, Michigan. Richard attained his associate’s degree and also was a United States Navy Veteran.
He had been the owner and property manager of several apartments in Mendon, Michigan for many years.
Richard enjoyed all kinds of remote control vehicles and camping.
He is survived by his wife Maureen of Coldwater; his father Clifford L. of Kalamazoo; his son Daniel of New York; his step-sons Jonathan (Allison) Blair of Kentwood, Shane Blair of Kentwood and Thomas Blair of Ypsilanti; his brothers Steven C. (Terri) Moses of Otsego, Michael D. Moses of Mendon, Clifford (Kip) D. Sowers of Mattawan and Steven L. Sowers of Kalamazoo; his sisters Linda M. (Ralph) Starke of Dryden and Sharon K. (Glen) Bierens of Kalamazoo. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother and his brother Dwight R. Moses.
