Regina F. Wielgos,”Busia” 91, lifelong resident of Bronson, passed away on January 12, 2012 at the Community Health Center of Branch County in Coldwater.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Mary of Assumption Church in Bronson with Rev. Fr. Richard Fritz officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 16, 2012 from 2 – 8:00 PM with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM at Dutcher-Kolcz Funeral Home in Bronson.

Regina was born May 22, 1920 in Bronson to Thomas G. and Josephine (Mojta) Ludwick. She married Raymond E. Wielgos on April 20, 1940 at St. Mary of Assumption Church in Bronson. He preceded her in death on March 9, 1999.

Mrs. Wielgos was a member of St. Mary of Assumption Church where she belonged to the Ladies
Rosary Society. She was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker. She had worked at Bronson Reel for over 6 years, Lynema Fiberglass; when they had constructed the Bronson city office and she had cleaned houses. Regina enjoyed playing cards, crossword puzzles, watching soap operas and game shows and was infamous for her delicious baked beans and noodles, which she provided at many potlucks through the years.

Regina is survived by her sons John (Deb) Wielgos of Bronson, Michael (Patti Schell) Wielgos of Edwardsburg, her granddaughters Heather, Corey, Allison, Mariah & Elizabeth, her grandsons Ray and Ricki, 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her daughter Judy Wielgos, her brother Florian Ludwick, her sisters Josephine Wotta, Frances Pierucki, Catherine Kosmerick, Pearl Ludwick and an infant brother and sister.
