Reah J.  Grove
Reah J. Grove, 87, of Fremont, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Northern Lakes Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Angola, Indiana, while recovering from a fall.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 10:30 AM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Shayne Looper of the Lockwood Community Church officiating. Interment will follow at Knauss Cemetery in Kinderhook Twp. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 11, 2015 from 6 – 8:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Reah was born January 6, 1928 in California Twp., Michigan to Estell S. and Elzie (Root) Hamman. She attended the Paul School and graduated salutatorian from Fremont High School in 1945.
She married Edward Leroy Grove on December 14, 1946 in Angola, IN. He preceded her in death in 2012.
Reah worked at Fremont Hardware in Fremont, Federal Mogul in Coldwater, Redmond Manufacturing in Angola, Quincy Products in Quincy, retiring from Acorn Building components in 1990. Reah was a member of the Lockwood Community Church, a lifelong seamstress, owning and operating REAH’S Alterations in her home for many years, retiring in 2015. She was involved in farming most of her life, a 4-H club leader and a sewing project leader for The East Kinderhook 4-H Club. She loved to play Euchre, playing three times a week. She especially loved her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Reah is survived by her sons John (Renee) Grove of Stamping Ground, KY, Jerry (Linda) Grove of California Twp, MI, her sister Kathryn June Miller of Fremont, IN, her 4 grandchildren Nathaniel Grove, MaKenzie (Keith) Hager, Linsey (James Schultz) Grove and Andreah (Jesse Stayner) Grove and 3 great grand children.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her brother Lavern Hamman.
