Ramona C.  Lopez
Ramona C. Lopez, 97 of Coldwater passed away Friday, September 18, 2015 at her home.

A funeral service will take place at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Rev. Dr. Rene Whitaker of First Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the funeral beginning at 11:00 AM.

Ramona was born July 23, 1918 to William and Carrie (Olmsted) Sweet in Coldwater. She was a lifelong Branch County resident. On November 21, 1952 Ramona married Carl Lopez in Angola, he preceded her in death on February 1, 2001.

Ramona was an active woman, especially in her younger days. She and Carl enjoyed listening to jazz music, visiting clubs and going dancing. Ramona liked to be outside either at the lake or working in her flowers around the house. In her later years she enjoyed kayaking at Cary Lake and riding a tandem bike. She will be remembered as being a kind, caring, and resilient woman. Mostly she relished spending time with her family and close friends.

Mrs. Lopez is survived by her children Daniel (Karina) Lopez of Traverse City, Virgil Lopez of Coldwater, Gayle Delyi of Greenwood, SC, and Cindy (Jim) King of Coldwater; her grandchildren Errin Lopez, Nick Lopez, Shannon Ruthrauff, and Martia Stevens; her great grandchildren Sam & Jon Stevens. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carl Lopez, her son Steven Williams, her step-daughter Louise Kopelow; her brother Bill Sweet; and her sister Madeline Thoms.
