Patricia “Patty” A. Cedar-Parent, 58, of Coldwater died Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at 3:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor David Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Patricia was born August 11, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan to John and Mary (Johns) Cedar.
She married Richard M. “Mike” Parent on June 25, 1985 in New Baltimore Michigan.
Patty worked at the Marshall Street Shell Station in Coldwater for ten years until ill health forced her to retire. She was a member of the Coldwater Moose Lodge where she had served on the board. Patty enjoyed scrap booking, observing & collecting lighthouses, playing Bingo and drive thru restaurants. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Patty is survived by her husband Mike, her father John Cedar of East Pointe, MI, her son Rick Parent of Hattiesburg, MS, her daughters Shelbi (Rob) Boehmke of Hattiesburg, MS, Teri Nix-Jeffries of Quincy, Mary Nix of Bronson, Amey (Pat) Wells of Warren, MI, Connie (Levi) McClure of Fairbanks, AK, her brother John Cedar of Sterling Heights, and her grandchildren Brett, Shane, Alex, Dean, Ariana, Koti, Bryan, Amanda, Ashley, Tara, Colt, Tiffany, Michelle, Jennifer, and Samantha.
She was preceded in death by her mother, sisters-in-law Peggy Cedar & Jackie Brown.
