Mildred Aileen Keith, 87, of Coldwater passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2014.

A funeral service will take place on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at11:00 AM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Dave Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at Batavia Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 28, 2014 from 2 – 4:00 and 6 – 8:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home.

Mildred, the daughter of Glenn A. and Bertha C. (Maxwell) Jackson was born March 29, 1927 in Van Wert, OH. She was a 1945 graduate of Hoaglin-Jackson High School. Mildred married Harold E. Keith on July 1, 1946 and they lived in Van Wert, OH until they moved their family to a farm west of Coldwater in 1959.

Mildred spent most of her life as a mother and homemaker, but had worked as a nurse’s aide at the Community Health Center of Branch County and then worked for the State of Michigan at the Mental Health facility in Coldwater, retiring in 1986. She enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens, canning, crocheting, and knitting. Mildred also made quilts for her children and grand-children. In their retirement years, Harold and Mildred would load up their fifth-wheel and travel.

Mildred is survived by her daughter Donna (Donald) Miller, her son Larry (Marcia) Keith, her daughter Kathy Yesh, her sons Dennis (Teresa) Keith and Bradley (Lauren) Keith; 11 grand-children and 21 great grand-children. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Keith; her parents; two brothers Harvey and Alford; sister Erma (Tangeman) Black; grandson Darren Miller; great grandson Denten Langendorfer.
