Matthew L. Midtgard, 46, of Montgomery, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2012 at the Community Health Center of Branch County.
In keeping with Matthew’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held at Berg Cemetery in Montgomery at a later date. Arrangements are being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Matthew was born on January 8, 1966 in Hillsdale, Michigan to Milton C. and Dorothy E. (Wolcott) Midtgard. He was a 1984 graduate of Reading High School. He had worked as a mechanic at Wood’s Safety Service in Coldwater and was a handyman through the years, doing carpentry and cement work.
Matthew is survived by his mother, Dorothy Midtgard of Montgomery, his brothers; Art Midtgard of Reading, Milton (Rita) Midtgard of Montgomery, Jim (Julie) Midtgard of Fremont, IN, Craig (Veronica) Midtgard of Homer, Andy Midtgard of Charlotte and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Milton Midtgard.
