Obituary for Mary Sikorski

Mary Sikorski, 82, of Bronson, died Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Fairview Nursing Home in Centreville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 27, 2010 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary of Assumption Church, with Rev. Fr Richard Fritz officiating. The Rosary will be recited prior to the service at 10:00AM at the church. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Mary was born November 26, 1928 in Bronson to Frank and Theresa (Losinski) Sikorski.

Mary & Fabian, brother and sister, were born in the same home. They lived and enjoyed working together on the family farm for fifty years. Many people thought Mary had Parkinson’s disease because of her shaking. She was never diagnosed with Parkinsons, her shaking for 82 years was caused from a shot she received as a baby from her medical doctor. Because of this shot Mary did not watch television and was a bed patient at home for several months. On October 17, 2010, Mary was moved to SKAGGS, a place for the elderly. Mary received very good care there. On November 29, she had a stroke and spent 10 days in the hospital. After getting a feeding tube she was released to Fairview Nursing Home, which is the best place to go if you ever find yourself in Mary’s health condition. (Lovingly submitted by Fabian Sikorski)

Mary is survived by her brother Fabian Sikorski of Bronson, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother in 1936 at the age of 48, her father in 1960 at the age of 81, her sisters Virginia, Irene, Celia, and her brothers Ambrose and Gregory.

Arrangements are being cared for by Dutcher-Kolcz Funeral Home in Bronson.
