Marcia D. King,58, of Jackson, formerly of Girard, died Saturday, September 4, 2010 at St. Joseph Hospital in Ypsilanti after a courageous battle with cancer and other complications.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 8 , 2010 at 2:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Tekonsha. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 from 2 - 8:00 PM and again on Wednesday, prior to the service, beginning at 12 Noon at Dutcher Funeral Home.
Marcia was born December 12, 1951 in Coldwater, MI to Howard & Dorris (Waffle) King.

Ms. King graduated from Holly High School in 1970 and from Eastern Michigan University with a Special Education teaching degree in 1974. She was employed by the Tuscola Intermediate School District, Tuscola County Community Mental Health and most recently employed by the State of Michigan Dept. of Community Health.

Marcia enjoyed working in her flowers, conversing with her AVON customers and working on phone bank. She, most of all, enjoyed spending time with her family…No Aunt has spent more time on bleachers watching her nieces and nephews.
Survived by Marcia is survived by her mother Doris King of Durand, her sisters Carol King of Jackson, Nancy (Matt) Verhelle of Fenton, Donna (Kevin) Doneth of Durand, Linda (Troy) Helms of Lansing, nieces and nephews Christy King, Jonathan and Ciana Hodges, Ryan Verhelle, Kylie (Jon) Rush, Kelly (Brad) Cesal, Kurt and Kimberly Doneth, Deven King, great nephews Blake Koessel, Brayden Cesal and Nolan Rush, great niece Rylee Verhelle and many great friends.

She was preceded in death by her dad Howard in 2009 and her grandparents Ellery & Mildred King and Ernest & Dorothy Waffle .
