Loretta and Sharon, We were so sorry to hear about Louie. Kathy and I have such fond memories of him. He was such a sweet, gentle boy. Our favorite memory was Louie coming over, pounding on the door, and yelling for "Kafee"! Kathy would then take him to the garage where she had set up a classroom--she the teacher, he the student. And she would teach him. She says he came back every day for school! That was the beginning of a long teaching career for her and some wonderful memories of the Nowak family for us. Kathy says she ran into Louie at a wedding several years ago. She doesn't remember who's wedding, but she does remember that Louie remembered her! And that meant so much to her!
