Obituary for
Lois D. Finley
Lois Diana Finley, 70, of Bronson passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at the Community Health Center of Branch County.
A memorial service will take place at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Dutcher-Kolcz Funeral Home in Bronson with Pastor Terry Siler from First Congregational Church of Bronson officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in Bronson Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the memorial service beginning at 2:00 PM.
Lois was born September 22, 1945 to Paul and Loretta (Hanning) Hand in Coldwater. She married Ralph Finley on August 31, 1962. Lois was a hardworking woman, employed by many local companies including Kroger Egg, Campbell Mushroom, Motor Wheel, and Federal-Mogul. She and Ralph also co-owned Hand’s Garbage Service for many years before selling the company and retiring.
Lois loved her family, always putting them before her needs. She enjoyed camping, especially going to Mesick. She also liked reading and going to the casino. Her true joy was spending time with her grandchildren. Lois will be remembered as an outgoing and friendly person who lived on her own terms.
Mrs. Finley is survived by her husband of 53 years Ralph Finley of Bronson; her children Rhonda (Larry) Baldridge of Coldwater and Raegan “Scott” Finley of Colon; her siblings Cheryl (Roy) Finley of Bronson, Steven (Pat) Hand of Bronson, and Christi (Ori) Goshorn of Quincy; her grandchildren Gina (Scott) Hart, Randi (Troy) Dell and Shyie Finley; 11 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
