Lloyd D. Covey, Sr. ,59, of Coldwater, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2014 at his home.
The funeral will be held on Friday, August 15, 2014 at 12 Noon at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Harold Jewell from the Oasis of Love Church officiating. Interment will follow at Lockwood Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service on Friday beginning at 9:00 AM at Dutcher Funeral Home.
Lloyd was born September 22, 1954 in Concord, MI to Henry Dale & Helen (Fullington) Covey.
Mr. Covey worked at various manufacturing companies over the years including United Technologies for 20 years and most recently for Lakeshore Products in Quincy.
Lloyd enjoyed collecting eagles and was gifted musically, playing guitar and singing. He enjoyed bonfires and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
Lloyd is survived by his children Kandie King of Sherwood, Lloyd (Tiffany) Covey, Jr of Bronson, Jason Covey, Amanda Covey both of Coldwater, his step daughter Heather Gigowski of Quincy, his father and step mother Dale & Bonnie Covey, his mother Helen Barker all of Coldwater, his brothers and sisters Ronda (Carlos) Wallen, James (Wanda) Covey, Gary Karn all of Coldwater, Doug (Thao) Covey of CA, David Covey of TX, Vickie (Ray) Conley of Belding, Paula (David) Lopez of AZ, many step brothers and sisters and several grand and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Louis Dean Covey, his brother Jackie Ricky Covey and his grandparents.
