Obituary for Larry A. Weaver

Larry A. Weaver, 76, of Coldwater, passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at his home.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 12 Noon at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Coldwater with Rev. Fr. Mark Vyverman and Rev. Fr. Richard Fritz officiating. Interment of ashes will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Girard with military honors presented by the American Legion Drill Team. The family will receive friends, prior to the service, beginning at 11:00 AM at St. Charles Church. Arrangements are being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Larry was born December 13, 1938 in Battle Creek, MI to Arthur & Orsola (Gresly) Weaver. He graduated from Coldwater High School in 1956 and attended both Kellogg and Argubright Business College. Larry served honorably in the US Army from 1959 to 1965. He married Marilyn Wempe on October 13, 1961 in Coldwater.
Mr. Weaver had worked at Ft. Custer and Coldwater State Homes until beginning his career in law enforcement. He worked for the Coldwater Police Department for over 25 years, retiring in July of 1991.
Larry was a member of St. Charles Church, the Coldwater Eagles and the American Legion. He was an outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and gardening and enjoyed playing BINGO.
Larry is survived by his wife Marilyn, his children Victoria Clark of Coldwater, Daniel Weaver of Union City, his grandchildren Heather, Tracia, Sarah, Kellie, Lindsey, Stephanie, Kayla, Jakob, Jessica and Jordan, 7 great grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Walter Weaver and his daughter Lori Weaver.
