Shelly Crandall
Uncle Jr and Uncle John would always tease us girls (Jeannie, Vicki, Tam, and me) mercilessly. We all had a nickname too. I remember all of us going to the St. Joseph Co. fair every year on a Saturday. Uncle Jr would walk around after the trotter races with us all to go through the barns, he didn't let his handicap stop him. We would all walk a little slower with him though. I remember mom, Uncle John, and Aunt Kathy (grandma too) would tell stories about all the antics they used to do as kids and Uncle Jr was right in the middle of it all, nothing held him back. He seemed rough and grumpy, but he was soft insideand would let it come out occasionally. He will leave a hole in all of our lives. Loved him...
