Obituary for Glen D. Wolf

Glen D. Wolf, 84, of Bronson, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2012 at the Community Health Center of Branch County.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary of Assumption Church in Bronson with Rev. Fr. Richard Fritz officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Bronson. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 14, 2012 from 5 – 7:30 PM at Dutcher-Kolcz Funeral Home in Bronson.
Glen was born February 8, 1928 in Pleasant Bend, Ohio to Alva & Alona (Ordway) Wolf. He married Catherine Lammers on October 22, 1949 in Delphos, Ohio.
Mr. Wolf served in the US Army Air Force and was a veteran of WWII. He was a lifelong farmer, owning and operating farms in both Ohio and Michigan. He also worked for 25 years at Douglas Manufacturing in Bronson, retiring in 1989.
Glen was a member of St. Mary of Assumption Church and a life member of the Disabled American Veterans. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening, playing cards and bingo. Glen also enjoyed dancing, belonging to the” Merry Mixers” square dance club.
Glen is survived by his wife Catherine, his children Marge (Mike) Cossairt of Bronson, Barbara (Mike) Badder of Hastings, Carol (Bob) Somerlott of Coldwater, Marilyn (Bill) McKinley of Hastings and Jeff (Shannon) Wolf of Pleasant Ridge, MI, his brother Gene Wolf of Lima, OH, his sister Marvel Adam of VanWert, OH, 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son James Wolf, his daughter Kathy Brown, his grandson Keith Brown, and his sisters Virginia Zeigler, Opal Wolf and Marie Wolf. www.dutcherfh.com.
