Elnora E. Warrick, 94, of Coldwater passed away on Monday, April 6, 2015 at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility.
A graveside service will take place on Friday, April 10, 2015, at 3:00 PM at Bronson Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the graveside service from 11:00 - 2:30 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Elnora was born June 15, 1920 to Charles and Ola (Fairchild) Ostman in Toledo, Ohio. Elnora worked at Champion Spark Plug for 7 years after graduation from high school. She spent many years living in Angola before moving to Michigan in 1949. Elnora has lived in either Coldwater or Bronson since 1950.
Elnora was very active in her children’s lives while they were growing up. She served as a Leader of 4-H Girls, was a member of the 4-H Council, President of the Bronson PTA, and served as a Leader in the Extension Club. Elnora was a long-time member of the Bronson First Baptist Church, and more recently a member at Lockwood Community Church. She was active in the annual Hospice Duck Race, selling tickets each year. Her main hobby was sewing, where she made outfits and made alterations for many family and friends. Her true joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren.
Mrs. Warrick is survived by her daughters Candice (Jerry) Haylett of Coldwater, and Rebecca (John) Hoff of Houston, TX; her sister Ilene (Gus) Sepeter of Lansing; her grandsons Kurt (Janet) Hoff of St. Petersburg, FL, Chad (Kerri) Hoff, Troy Hoff, and Todd (Janelle) Hoff all of Houston; seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Raymond, Arthur, Robert, and Charles Ostman and her daughter’s father Roger Mendenhall.
