Ellwood Willard Buterbaugh, 92 of Coldwater passed away, Friday September 18, 2015 at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facilities in Coldwater.
A funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Thursday September 24, 2015 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor David Brown officiating. Interment will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Coldwater. Visitation will be prior to the service Thursday, beginning at 12:00 Noon.
Ellwood was born December 13, 1922 in Portage PA to Harley I. and Emma Zoe (Bostic) Buterbaugh. He married Leona G. Lockard she preceded him in death November 23, 1993. Ellwood worked at GTE as a tree trimmer for many years, then Evans Products and retiring in 1992 from Carlyle Bobber factory. He served in the US Army in WW II.
Ellwood enjoyed taking care of his family especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed playing cards, reading and taking long car rides.
Mr. Buterbaugh is survived by son James (Janice) Buterbaugh of Quincy, daughter Linda (Ron) Nagle of Coldwater; his grandchildren Eddie Ramsey of TX, Rhonda (John ) Nagle of Quincy, Eric (Lisa) Buterbaugh of Union City, Christopher Ramsey of TX, Jeffrey (Samantha) Buterbaugh of Coldwater, Steven Ramsey of TX, Brian Ramsey of TX.; great grandchildren Skyler McGee, Jacob Buterbaugh, Tara Buterbaugh. Preceded in death by wife, son Robert Ramsey, infant great grandson Cody Avery and brothers and sisters.
