Charles L. “Chuck” Peet, Sr., 80, of Coldwater, died on Monday, September 6, 2010 at his home.





A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, September 10, 2010 at the Dayburg Church in Butler Township with Pastor Joe Stanley officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Coldwater. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2010 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.





Chuck was born on January 17, 1930 to Ora Jacob and Hazel B. (Welch) Peet in Coldwater, Michigan. He served honorably in the U.S. Army and married Stella Galinis on February 5, 1951 in Angola, Indiana. He had worked at Eaton’s in Marshall for 31 years, retiring in 1982.





Chuck attended the Dayburg Church. He enjoyed antique cars, car shows, traveling and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.





Mr. Peet is survived by his wife, Stella Peet, his children; Larry (Mary Ellen) Peet of Coldwater, Ronald ( Lucille) Peet of Glendale, AZ, Delores (Bob) King of Tekonsha, Charles (Sandra Dee) Peet, Jr. of Montgomery, Dennis (Sharon) Peet of Coldwater, David (Karen) Peet of Quincy and Steven (Trish) Peet of Tekonsha, 26 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.





He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Leo Peet and Ora Peet, Jr., sister Carma Daws and a granddaughter, Erica Ann King.
