Betty Lou (Haylett) Hilton, age 84, of Redford left her earthly family on Saturday, June 27, 2020, and joined her husband, Max Hilton, in Heaven.

She was born to Forrest and Gladys (Hutchins) Haylett on August 9, 1935, in Bethel Township. Betty and Max were married on January 9, 1954, and enjoyed a beautiful 62 year marriage. She was a beautiful, independent woman who enjoyed going to estate sales and loved nature (especially butterflies). But, her true passion was her grandchildren. Betty’s selfless heart was always filled with the love of her family and friends. She will be dearly missed.

Beloved mother of Sue Zincke (Pat Milliken ), Sandy (Walt) Grysko , Debbie (Tim) Nester; nine grandchildren, Walter John (Jen) Grysko, Max Grysko, Joe Grysko, Tom (Cal) Nester, Brad (Jen) Nester, Shaun (Courtney) Nester, Dave (Kim) Nester, Brett Nester, Shelby Nester; great-grandmother of 10 and great-great grandmother of 1; sister of Jake (Cora Jean) Haylett; many loving nieces and nephews; and dear companion of Bill Fifer.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband Max, grandson Michael Grysko, son-in-law Bill Zincke and siblings: Velma, Olen, Alice, Anna Mae, and Max (Mike) Haylett.

It was Betty’s wishes to be cremated and an intimate family service was held. At Betty’s request, if memorials are chosen, please make checks payable to DCAA with a memo line of “Michael Grysko Scholarship” (in memory of her grandson) 1055 Silvery Lane, Dearborn, MI 48128.

Dear Sue, Sandy & Deb -
I am so sorry to hear about your Mom. I know your hearts are breaking, and I hope you find comfort knowing that she is with your Dad now. I know that’s the one thing that has helped me, when thinking about Mom.
Aunt Betty was always so warm and friendly and I never hesitated to give her a hug. Which she returned with great enthusiasm! A beautiful lady and I’m sure a wonderful Mom.
Here’s a picture from July, 2018 when we came back to visit. We miss you all and hope to see you soon.
Love ya-
Sally & Scott

Sue, Sandy, Debbie and Families,
My heart aches at hearing this sad news! Your lives will never be the same, I know! Your Mother is where you came from, your first friend and nothing will ever really separate you, not even death. You will find her in a quiet breeze, the smell of some perfume, or favorite food that she cooked. She is a part of you all forever. My Prayers are for your peace and comfort during this difficult time. I have wonderful memories of your Mom & Dad, Rest in Eternal Peace , Betty Hilton.

I miss you more than words can say. Your love and support has always been what made our family strong. Thank you Mom💚. All my love, Sandy
My Rambling: The Reunion.
The reunion
Their reunion has come at our great loss;
Dad’s arms wide open as Mom walks across.

They embrace with a hug that feels long overdue;
Then Mike jumps up so that Mom sees him too!

Her smile is so radiant that we can see it down here;
Oh my gosh I think dad just nibbled her ear!!!

They are happy and chatting more than ever before;
Catching up, learning about Heaven and so much more.

I see them, can you? Yes as happy as can be;
While still tossing dimes down to Deb, Sue and me!

We miss them both more than words can ever express;
But now they are back together and bursting with happiness!

My smile comes a bit slow and I’ll miss Mom so much;
Her knowledge, support and of course her loving touch.

But it suddenly feels right as I see them embrace.
This new void is tough, but one we must face.

Because together forever is where they belong;
Even though our hearts think something is wrong.

At peace they both are and will now always be;
Their final reunion that sets them both free.
