Dominic Joseph Barone, 55, of Hillsdale passed away Sunday, May 8, 2016 at Borgess Medical Center.

The family will have a celebration of Dominic’s life on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at the Coldwater Moose Lodge #677 beginning at 3:00 PM. The family was served by Dutcher Funeral Home.

Dominic was born November 27, 1960 to Joseph and Beverly (Wing) Barone in Coldwater. After graduation from Coldwater High School, he began a long working career. Dominic worked with United Technologies before using his talents at Tenneco in Litchfield for the past 22 years.

Dominic was a very active man with many hobbies. He liked spending time watching NASCAR and sprint car racing, U of M football, hunting, fishing, and golf. He enjoyed playing cards with his family and friends. Dominic will be remembered as being giving, good hearted, and down to earth man. He was like a big teddy bear with a quick sense of humor. He will be missed by many.

Mr. Barone is survived by his mother Beverly (Carl) Childers of Albion; his siblings Rose Ann Collins of Warren, Phyllis (Mike) Shay of Harrison Township, and Joseph (Gwyn) Barone of Hillsdale; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; his good friends Paul Dasch of Litchfield and Troy Rogers of Florida.
