Elsie Rohloff, 99, of Coldwater, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2015 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Ft. Wayne, IN.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Coldwater with Rev. Fr. Mark Vyverman officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends, prior to the service, beginning at 9:30 AM at St. Charles Church. Arrangements are being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Elsie was born March 17, 1916 in Charlevoix, MI to Frank & Jane (Kos) Rumisek. She graduated from Charlevoix High School in 1934 and married Lee Rohloff on October 12, 1940. He preceded her in death on March 26, 2006.
Mrs. Rohloff and her husband moved to Coldwater in 1944, where they owned and operated Rohloff Auto Service , Studebaker & Dodge Sales for 25 years. Elsie was a dedicated volunteer, working with the American Cancer Society and the Red Cross Blood Bank. She served as Election Inspector for over 50 years and was an active member of St. Charles Borromeo Church. Elsie enjoyed spending the winter months in Sebring, FL with her husband for many years. She enjoyed crafts, reading, playing cards and was proud to have learned to use the computer at her age. Most of all, Elsie enjoyed time with her family and friends.
Elsie is survived by her children Betty Kohrman of Ft. Wayne, IN, Robert Rohloff of Rio Verde, AZ, Jim (Jill) Rohloff of Coldwater, Patricia (Gary) Allen of Gladwin, 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her sister Lillian Hinderliter.
