Fantastic Teaching
I am so sorry for the family's loss. Mrs. Davenport was such a fantastic teacher. We were blessed to have her at Pittsford. Many of the lessons she taught us, and projects and methods she used, I use now as an English teacher myself. I remember turning short stories into skits; I can still remember my group. I remember reading _Flowers for Algernon_ with her, Anne Frank, and many more. I remember memorizing the Gettysburg Address as she organized speakers for the Pittsford Memorial Day Parade. She gave so much so that we could have a great school experience. I can recall all of the time spent on the yearbook and sifting through photos (before digital everything). She was so pleased when you put a page together or came back with an ad for the back. I have so many positive memories and happy times from her classes and extras. She was a great role model and I'm thankful to have experienced her as a teacher.
