Bernard William Supianoski, 89, of Coldwater died on April 9, 2014 at the Laurels of Coldwater.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Coldwater with Rev. Fr. Dan Hyman officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery with military honors presented by the American Legion, Post #52, Drill Team. Visitation will be Friday, April 11, 2014 from 6-8:00 PM, with the Rosary to begin at 7:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.

Bernard was born March 25, 1925 in Butler Township to Lewis and Petronella (Kaniewski) Supianoski. He married Minna Lee (Smith) Brents on June 4, 1955 in San Antonio, TX at St. Leo Catholic Church.

Bernard attended Dayburg School through 8th grade, and then attended St. Charles Catholic School until graduation. He graduated from the Agricultural Short Course from MSU. Bernard served in the US Air Force at Lackland Air Base in San Antonio, TX from 1950-1954. He purchased his own family farm, where he raised hogs on a large scale, and planted a variety of crops. In the late 70’s he phased out of these and began specializing in the production of corn. Bernard was a top salesman with Pioneer Seeds. Bernard was a loving family man. He was a long-time member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, and a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.

Bernard is survived by his wife of 58 years; step-daughters Barbara Brents Himebaugh of Coldwater and Virginia Hellenberg of Fayetteville, Arkansas; 7 grand-children and 10 great grand-children; sisters Irene Luxenburger of Quincy, Margaret Larimer of Sturgis, and Barbara (John) Fisher of Sturgis; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Edward Supianoski.
