Shelly Lynn McLaren, 55, of Sturgis, passed away on Saturday August 27, 2016 in Sturgis.
The funeral service will be Friday, September 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Church of Christ at Bronson. Visitation will be Thursday September 1, 2016 from 4 – 8:00 p.m. at Church of Christ at Bronson, and again, Friday September 2, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.

Shelly was born May 14, 1961 in Monroe, MI to Gerald and Emily (Hickman) Gibson. She married Mark McLaren on November 11, 1982 in Bronson, MI.

Shelly loved horses, enjoyed playing softball , quilting and gardening. Most of all, her favorite time was spent with her children and grandchildren.

Shelly is survived by her husband Mark, her children Jeremy McLaren of AK, Stephanie Doubblestein of FL, Joseph McLaren of Sturgis, Sara Ramirez, Jessica Garcia of Holland, Whitney McLaren of Burr Oak, and Adam McLaren of Sturgis; a sister Kim Cook, of Coldwater, brother Jason Gibson of Bronson, Randy Gibson of Sturgis and Jerry Gibson, Jr. of Warren, 2nd mother, Sue Gibson of LaGrange, IN and 9 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Kevin and Chris Gibson.
