Carolyn Ann  Briggs
Carolyn Ann Briggs, 69, of Quincy passed away on Thursday, June 16 after a short battle with cancer at the Community Health Center of Branch County.
A memorial service will take place at 3:00 PM on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Mark Case of California Community Church officiating. Interment will occur on a later date at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 PM.
Carolyn was born May 12, 1947 to James and Agnes (Wilson) Freeman in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She moved around the country working as a bookkeeper with different companies before moving to Coldwater. Carolyn retired from Auto-Ware’s Distribution Center in Coldwater in May of 2014, after many years of bookkeeping. She married Larry Briggs on February 9, 2001.
Carolyn had many hobbies. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting afghans and other items, playing computer games and doing craft projects. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. Carolyn will be remembered as a good person who was always smiling, full of love and humor.
Mrs. Briggs is survived by her husband of 15 years, Larry Briggs of Quincy; her daughters Chay Mosher of Coldwater and Kim Herman of Rochester; her sisters Leona (David) Heythaler of Warren and Linda (Lyle) Christian of Bronson; her grandchildren Kiara (Cameron Scott) Taylor, Benjamin Daniels, and Sarah-Ann Daniels; her great granddaughter Kenzie Scott; several nieces & nephews; her special dogs “Carter” & “Sissy”. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother James Freeman; her sister Monia Rucinski and her nephew Richard Rucinski.
