Obituary for Daryl L. Williams

Daryl L. Williams, 62, of Bronson, passed away, unexpectedly, on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at
his home.

The funeral service will be Monday, January 25, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Dutcher-Kolcz Funeral
Home in Bronson with Pastor Terry Siler from the First Congregational Church officiating.
Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, January 24, 2016
from 2-6:00 PM at Dutcher-Kolcz Funeral Home.

Daryl was born March 22, 1953 in Defiance, OH to Paul & Helen (Schwartzengraber) Williams.
He graduated from Bronson High School in 1971 and from Michigan State University in 1975
with a degree in Ag Education and Animal Science.

Daryl married Valerie (McPherson) Nichols on October 6, 1990 in Bronson.
Mr. Williams worked as an Ag Teacher in Cassopolis for a few years before going to work for
Abbott Laboratories in Sturgis. He worked in management for Abbott for many years, retiring in
2014.

Daryl formerly attended Pleasant Hill Missionary Church and was a member of Kiwanis and FFA Alumni. He had also been very active in 4H for many years. Daryl enjoyed golfing and
bowling on a league, but one of his greatest passions was farming. He owned and operated his
family farm his entire life.

Daryl is survived by his wife Valerie, his children Kelby Williams of Bronson, Denver (Jacquie)
Nichols of Silver City, NM, Eric (Janessa) Nichols of Addison, Brooke (Erik) Williams of Sterling
Heights, his mother Helen Williams of Bronson, his siblings Lana Gray of Auburn, IN, Darlene
Williams (Larry VanWagner) of Orland, IN, Lynn Williams, Ronald (Sandy) Williams all of
Bronson, Rodney Williams of Waterloo, IN, grandchildren Tre, Avery, Ethan, James, Olivia,
Blayden and Skyler. He was preceded in death by his father Paul, mother–in-law Phyllis
Stidham, father-in-law Archie McPherson and sister-in-law Bobbie Sue McPherson.

Memorials may be directed to the First Congregational Church in Bronson.
