Joseph Eugene "Joe"  Sharp
Joseph “Joe” Eugene Sharp, 85, of Bronson passed away on Friday, November 27, 2015 at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility in Coldwater.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Dave Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Reading. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Joe was born October 1, 1930 to Jesse and Mary (Eberwein) Sharp in St. Paul, Kansas. He enlisted in the United States Navy on March 11, 1949 at Kansas City, Missouri and was discharged on March 10, 1950 at San Diego, California having attained the rank of SN.
He married Elaine Graves on May 11, 1957 in Reading, Michigan. Joe went to work for GTE as a telephone lineman for over 40 years and then as a truck driver for Union Pallet in Coldwater for 14 years.
Joe always put his family first, but he was also a very helpful and hard working person who never missed work. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, going to garage sales and he was known to be a jokester.
Joe is survived by his wife of 58 years Elaine, his children, Dawn (LaVern) Huepenbecker of Logan, Ohio, Lisa (Chuck) Belote of Coldwater, Eric (Janice) Sharp of Coldwater and Lara (David) Alli of Bronson; his grandchildren, Dane (Megan) Huepenbecker, Logan (Lindsay) Huepenbecker, Amanda (Ryan) Fillmore, Meagan (Miranda) Bowersox, Kyler (Jeanine) Speaker, Cailen Speaker, Kayden and Carson Alli; his great grandchildren, Cole, Abby, Annalise, Avery and Lucas. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Jessie Coomes.
Memorials may be directed to the Humane Society of Branch County.
