Just the way it happened

After high school, Steve went to Chicago to college to persue Medicine.  I went to work for Gorsline funeral home in Lansing.  One weekend when Steve came home he came out to the FH and visited.  Some time later he decided to persue that profession.  I did not stay in the business then.  Some years later I went to the Palmer Bush FH where Steve was now licensed.  After two years I decided to go into Law Enforcement.  I think the most fun I had with Steve in the profession was when he worked for Staffan FH in Ann Arbor and we ran an ambulance service.  U of M sure provided us with lots of ambulance runs.  On a different note, during high school Steve was a  leader to get Scout life guards to help with a monthly swim session for the school for the blind.  These kids would never had that experience were it not for Steves efforts. Steve was working at a funeral home in Midland during the building of the chapel seen in the photos attached.   Steve did so much in his life time to benefit others.  Rest in Peace Steve.
