Richard “Dick C. Seyfarth, 79, of Marshall, formerly of Coldwater, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at his home.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Rev. Fr. Mark Vyverman from St. Charles Borromeo Church officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 from 5-7:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home. Interment will be Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 12:30 PM at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield.
Richard was born February 15, 1936 in Detroit, Mi to Charles & Leona (Suggitt) Seyfarth. He married Mary Kotles on April 28, 1962 in Detroit. She preceded him in death on May 27, 2009.
Mr. Seyfarth worked for General Motors for nearly 40 years. He began spending summers at Bartholomew Lake in Coldwater in the early 1970’s, making it his permanent home in 2003. Dick was an avid sports fan, especially the Redwings and loved to travel with his wife.
Dick is survived by his sons James Seyfarth of Coldwater and David Seyfarth of Detroit. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his son Daniel Seyfarth.
