Cora June Chatfield, 76 of Coldwater passed away on November 14, 2014 at the Community Health Center of Branch County.

A memorial service will take place at 1:00 PM on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor David Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at Matteson Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service starting at 12:00 PM.

Cora was born January 1, 1938 to John and Margarette (Landis) Cribbs in Coldwater. She graduated from Coldwater High School where she met the love of her life DeWayne Chatfield. They were married on May 19, 1957 in Coldwater.

Cora was a woman of faith and attended the Bible Baptist Church in Fort Wayne. She had a day care center in her home and truly enjoyed being around children. Cora always put the needs of others before thinking of herself. She liked to read murder mysteries. Her true passion was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be missed by many.

Mrs. Chatfield is survived by her husband of 57 years, DeWayne Chatfield; her children DeWayne Dean (Marsha) Chatfield of Fort Wayne, Kimberly Sue (Tom) Miller of Fort Wayne, Jeffery (Amy) Chatfield of Coldwater, and Cynthia Marie (Kevin) Newgent of Bradenton, FL; her brother John (Sally) Cribbs of Middlebury, IN; her grandchildren April Chatfield, Kristlin Newgent, Anthony Chatfield, Alisha (Jose) Cuevas, and Tyler Chatfield; four great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Beverly Moore; and her great grandson Adrian Lee Cuevas.
