Barbara A. (Rider) Smith, 49, of Coldwater, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital.
The funeral service for Barbara will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor David Pierce from the First Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Knauss Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 25, 2014 from 4-8:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home.
Barbara was born May 15, 1964 in Lima, Ohio to David R. & Gertrude (Bowen) Rider. She graduated from Coldwater High School in 1982 and had attended Western Michigan University.
Barb had been the Director of the Chamber of Commerce in Angola for many years. She was very active in Relay for Life and for the past few years had held the local Susan G. Komen Foundation Golfing Fundraiser. Barb was an avid Ohio State fan and enjoyed living life on the lake. She adored her family and the time they spent together, especially with her daughter and granddaughter.
Barb is survived by her daughter Emily Olszewski (Chris Lenaghan) and her granddaughter Samantha Graw all of Medina, OH, her brothers Stephen (Kelli) Rider of Portage, Jeff (Tracy) Rider of Quincy, her nieces and nephews Katelyn (Josh Adams), Allison, Jack, Ted, Molly, Kailey, Shane & Jacob Rider and many aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by both of her parents.
