Obituary for William "Bill" Carpenter

William E. Carpenter, 76, of Coldwater, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2022 at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 2:00PM at the Oasis of Love Church in Coldwater with Pastor Harold Jewell officiating. Arrangements are being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.
William was born November 11, 1945 in Addison, MI to Albert Gordon & Lucille (Hull) Carpenter. He married Dolly May Gray on January 10, 1998 in Coldwater.
Mr. Carpenter drove truck for many years. He had worked at Wilcox Trucking, JB Hunt and for most of his career, was self-employed. Bill was a member of the Oasis of Love Church and the Truck Stop Ministry in Jamestown, IN. He loved to read his Bible and share his love of God with others. Bill was a skilled woodworker, making special stools for all of his grandchildren. He was a Ferrier by trade and enjoyed riding horses. Bill was always there to help someone in need and took great pride in his love for his family, especially his grandchildren.
Bill is survived by his wife Dolly May; his children Dawn Irish of Cooney, OH, Kelly Heller of Angola, IN, Khristina (Quentin) Rogers of Ransom, Kimberlee (Corey) Petersen of Greenville, Travis (Joy) Carpenter of Camden, Tyson Carpenter of Camden, Lisa Brown of Coldwater, Cindy (Randy) Withrow of Quincy, Richard Lee of Coldwater, Robin (Tony) Fisher of Quincy; his sister and brothers Louise (Keith) Ramsdell, Robert (Karen) Carpenter, Gerald (Toni) Carpenter; his aunt Irene Carpenter; his former wife Linda Sharpe; 20 Grandchildren, many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Norman Carpenter, Donald Carpenter and a very dear uncle, George Levere Carpenter.
