Virginia Lawton, 91 of Coldwater passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Rosewood Adult Foster Care Home in Coldwater.

In following her wishes, cremation has taken place and the family will have a graveside service at East Gilead Cemetery at a later date. The family was cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.

Virginia was born October 4, 1926 to Murray and Minnie (Testerman) Lawton in Bethel Township. Virginia was a life-long resident of Branch County and has been an ADAPT resident for many years. She was a very friendly woman who had never met a stranger. Virginia loved music boxes and stuffed animals, enjoying the comfort they gave her. She will be remembered for her smile and always being happy.

Virginia is survived by her siblings Gertrude Stayner, Arlene Munger, and Robert Lawton, all of Coldwater; several nieces & nephews; and her ADAPT family, especially Robin Hughes. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Arthur, MJ, and Lavern Lawton; her sisters Laura Rigg, and Esther McCollough.
