Thomas Michael “Tom” Tracy, 66, of Coldwater, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI. Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The family is being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Tom was born October 27, 1955 to William and Carol (Williams) Tracy in Alma, MI. He started his working career with Pepsi Cola for twenty years leading into his twenty year career and eventual retirement from Phillips Steel in Coldwater. On April 16, 2011 Tom married Margaret Toubeau in Coldwater, she survives. Tom found his peace and joy in the great outdoors. He was instrumental in organizing the cleanup of Hog Creek each and every year for all to enjoy and he loved to travel, camp, fish, and had a great passion for canoeing. He was talented in that he made his own canoe paddles, model airplanes, whirly gigs, and even brewed his own beer. Tom always looked forward to a good time with friends and family; he was a fun loving and dedicated man that surrounded himself with those he loved most and will be dearly missed.
In addition to his wife Maggie of Coldwater, he is survived by his mother Carol Tracy of Coldwater; the mother of his children Jody Abbott; his twin sons Tyler (Denae) Tracy of Reading and Trevor (Chelsea) Tracy of Kalamazoo; his step-children Phil Houghtby, Max Houghtby both of Jonesville, Heather (Jessy) Ramirez of Coldwater; his siblings Toni (Doug) Hess of Marshall, Tim (Robin) Tracy of Pensacola, FL; his grandchildren Eleanor, Lucy, Alice Tracy; Devin, Chase Houghtby; Liem Newsome, Legend Ramirez and his loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
