Obituary for Theresa J. Mills
Theresa J. Mills, 62, of Coldwater, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2022 as a result of an auto accident in Girard Township, along with her niece Angela Balowski and nephew Billy Balowski.
A service celebrating the lives of Angie, Billy and Theresa will be held Friday, June 24, 2022 at 1:00PM at Lockwood Community Church in Coldwater with Pastor Terry Siler from the First Congregational Church officiating, along with Chad Butters . The family will receive friends, prior to the service, beginning at 11:00AM at Lockwood Community Church. Arrangements are being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.
Theresa was born November 20, 1959 in Coldwater, MI to Arthur and Ruth (Marr) Mills. She earned her Associates Degree in Business Administration from Kellogg Community College.
Theresa worked at the Battle Creek Farm Bureau Co-op for the past 42 years, where she was the Branch Manager. One could say she truly loved her job and did it well. She commanded perfection in everything she did. Theresa was a Master Gardener and spent much of her time volunteering at Binder Park Zoo. She enjoyed taking care of animals, especially her own pets. Her nieces and nephews were very near and dear to her heart. Theresa loved helping them with their projects and activities at fair time and greatly treasured the time they spent together.
Theresa is survived by her siblings Pat (Chris) Mills of Traverse City, Deb (Ron) Balowski of Coldwater; her sister-in-law Jenney Mills of Bel Air, MD; her nieces and nephews Jessica (Jeremy) Michael of Ft. Wayne, IN, Aaron (Emily Disbrow) Balowski of DeWitt, Breslyn Hoath of Union City, Ashlee Hoath of Battle Creek, Kim (Dave) Quint of Battle Creek, Jozalynn Hoath of Battle Creek, Kedzie Balowski of DeWitt, Sarah (Ben) Woods of Tennessee, Taryn (Chris) Allen of Traverse City, Tracy Mills of Sherwood and Trevor Mills of Angola, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Tom Mills, Sam Mills, Mike Mills and Bruce Mills. Making the journey to heaven together with Theresa were her niece Angie and her nephew Billy.
