Obituary

Terry Joe Wilber, 55, of Coldwater, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo surrounded by his family. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life for Terry will be held Sunday, September 13, 2020 from 1-4 PM at 1005 Lyman Road Quincy, MI 49082.
He was born July 7, 1965 to Monroe and Rosemary (Helmer) Wilber in Coldwater, MI. Terry graduated from Coldwater High School in 1983 and on May 21, 1988 he married Karen Herman in Coldwater at St. Charles Catholic Church and she survives. He was employed as a mechanic at Bobilya Chrysler for most of his career but had spent the last 17 years employed at the Walmart Distribution Center. He and Karen had been members of the Eagles in Coldwater and he enjoyed watching football, especially the Pittsburg Steelers and University of Michigan; but his true passion was racing. Racing for over 32 years himself it had not only became a lifestyle, but a legacy that he would share with and pass onto his family. He was a hardworking man and an even more dedicated husband and father. Terry possessed a caring and loving heart that was only matched by his sense of humor that will be dearly missed.
In addition to his wife Karen, he is survived by his two sons Jakob (Hannah Miller) Wilber and Kaleb Wilber both of Coldwater; one sister Robin Cummins of Battle Creek; three brothers William “Butch” (Violet) Wilber, Dennis “Den” (Marie) Wilber, Garry (Robbin) Wilber all of Coldwater, and many loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Scott, and one brother-in-law Bill.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.

Sending heartfelt prayers, hugs and love to all of Terry's family and friends. Terry will be missed. He had such a wicked sense of humor! Nothing I say will take away your pain and sorrow and not will it bring him back. I don't want to just say empty words but I truly am at a loss for words. I am just so very very sorry and I wish I could make things better. Terry is loved. You all are loved.
