Susan “Sue” Kim Herman, 55 of Coldwater passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 am on Monday, February 19, 2018 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Dennis Wilson officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, February 18, 2018 from 1:00 – 5:00 pm at Dutcher Funeral Home. Susan was born November 19, 1962 to John and Noralee (Fowler) Shiery in Coldwater. She graduated from Bronson High School in 1980. Susan has been involved in bowling for much of her life. She worked many positions at Midway Lanes Bowling Center. On June 22, 1993, she married the love of her life, Dennis Herman. Sue was a long-time member of the Coldwater Women’s Bowling Association and a former member of the Coldwater Moose and Eagles. She coached the Coldwater Girls bowling team for 5 years. Sue enjoyed going camping, playing both golf and softball. She will be remembered for having charismatic personality and her willingness to help anyone in a caring and heartfelt way. Sue liked to laugh and make people laugh in her own comical ways. She will be missed by many. Susan is survived by her husband of 24 years, Dennis Herman of Coldwater; her daughter Ashlee Mefford of Coldwater; her siblings Timothy (Joyce) Shiery of Union City, Terry (Diane) Shiery, and Sandra Jo Shiery all of Coldwater; her nieces & nephews Jessica (Timothy) Fox, Zachary (Sarah) Shiery, Michael Shiery, Bradley Shiery, Mindy (Jacob) Smith, Chris (Rochelle) Longrey, Cortney Longrey, Cody Longrey, Alec Keplinger, Noella Keplinger, Piper & Cohen Fox, Jaxson Shiery, Aidan Miller, Tristan and Delilah Smith, Tom (Abby) Shiery, Sean (Leah) Shiery, Jordan, Madison, Audrey, and Olivia Shiery; and her good friends Derrell & Val Sensat. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her infant daughter Brittney Mefford. Memorials may be directed to the family. www.dutcherfh.com
