Obituary for Steven C. Groholski

Steven Craig Groholski was born August 23, 1962, in Coldwater, Michigan to George & Margarette (Selleh) Groholski. He answered the unexpected call to travel to Heaven on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Baylor Scott White Hospital in Temple, Texas, surrounded by his loving family.
Steve grew up in Coldwater, and met his future soul mate, Lori Deann Mossman, when they were just 15 years old. They were inseparable from then on, even through college. After earning a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University in Human Resources (and over a romantic ice cream cone), he finally proposed to Lori after 8 years of dating, and they were married on June 14, 1986, at the United Methodist Church in Coldwater. God blessed Steve and Lori with three beautiful daughters: Lindsey, Elise, and Dana, which earned Steve one of his most treasured titles, “Dad.”
Steve was a self-motivated entrepreneur with an incredible creative ability to see things differently, which allowed him to reverse engineer parts for the food industry. Steve created AMTIG Engineering Solutions (AMTIG standing for “All My Trust in God”) and created parts that ran better, cost less and lasted longer. Much like his personal life, Steve’s career was all about service; to God, to his family, to his customers, and to pretty much anyone he crossed paths with. In his travels for work, he would go to a diner to eat alone and by the time he finished his meal, Steve would have made a new friend. He traveled all over the country with his family, introducing them to adventures in almost every state, including scouting for bears at the Grand Tetons, Spring Break near Cape Canaveral and cliff jumping at Lake Powell.
Steve and Lori channeled their love for nature into becoming co-owners of the Narrows Campground in 1997. Using a creative, unique eye and mindfulness to detail, they fulfilled their dream of building a beautiful family-oriented oasis for others to make wonderful memories at.
Left on earth to continue Steve’s legacy (and missing him dearly) until their heavenly reunion are his loving mother, Margarette Bassage, his devoted wife Lori, his beautiful children Lindsey (Nizar) Idrissi, Elise (Mike) Marsh, Dana Groholski (Tre’ Snow), precious grandson Jad Idrissi and soon-to-be-born granddaughter Hayden Marsh, sister Karen Groholski, brother David (Trisha) Groholski and step-brother Chris (Vicki) Bassage, father and mother in-law, John and Marge Mossman, as well as many family, friends, thankful neighbors, and his customers.
Joining God in celebrating Steve’s arrival in Heaven are his step- father, Buster Bassage, stepbrother, Danny Bassage, brother-in-law, Craig Mossman, and grandparents Antonette and John Reed.
Visitation for Steve will be held Monday, August 8, 2022 from 3-7:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater. A celebration honoring the much too short life of Steve Groholski will be held Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church, 102 Bishop Avenue, Coldwater, MI with Pastor Jim Erwin officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Memorial donations are kindly suggested to the AMTIG (All My Trust in God) Scholarship Fund in memory of Steve, so that Steve and his family may continue to help others with higher education and trade skills.
