Stella Eugenia Kutzel, 96, of Coldwater, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at the Laurels of Coldwater.
Visitation will take place on Monday, June 17, 2019 from 11:00 AM until 12 Noon at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Coldwater with the Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 12 Noon with Fr. Paul Redmond officiating. Interment will be at Mason Cemetery in Coldwater. The family is being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Stella was born on October 7, 1922 to John and Frances (Szymanski) Matlock in Detroit. She married Toney S. Kutzel on August 18, 1945 in Detroit and he preceded her in death on October 15, 1999. Stella loved being a homemaker as she cherished her time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Church. Stella enjoyed bingo, shopping, sewing, watching Tiger baseball, TV game shows and cooking Polish food. She also enjoyed bowling as she was on a bowling league for 18 years. Stella looked forward to her visits with her sisters and brothers.
Stella is survived by her daughters; Patricia Wilson, and Denise (Brian) Evans, her daughter-in-law Elaine Kutzel all of Coldwater, her grandchildren; Tina Banks, Amy Kutzel and Anette Booth, her great grandchildren; Anthony Banks, Kimberely Quimby, Billy Barr, Nathan Barr and Brandon Barr, her great great grandchildren; Logan Banks, J.C. Quimby, Kingston Quimby, Vanessa Banks, Aubrey Banks and Isaac Barr, her sisters; Mary Pikora of Roseville and Irene Grandy of Lincoln Park. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Toney, her son Tony, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
