Sondra Kay Strauss, 77 of Coldwater passed away Sunday, March 28, 2021 at her sister’s home while under hospice care. A public visitation will be on Thursday, April 1, 2021 from 12:00 – 1:00 pm at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater. A private service will follow with Pastor Mark Quinn of the Church of the Nazarene officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery. Sondra was born July 15, 1943 in Scottsburg, IN. Her parents were Eldon Boyd and Velma McNeeley. Sondra was a hardworking woman, employed in many capacities over the years. Her most recent position was being a lunchroom supervisor at the Coldwater Community Schools. Sondra was a woman of faith attending Church of the Nazarene and Lockwood Community Church. She enjoyed spending time doing needle point and cross stitching, filling out word search puzzles and also some reading. Sondra is survived by her children Sjon (Karilyn) Otis of Coldwater, Teresa (Scott) Moore of Portersville, PA, and Tammy Wilson of Garrett, IN; her sisters Phylliss (Bill) Laurell, Renna (Ken) Pettifor, and Sheila (Terry) Crawford all of Coldwater; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; four nieces; and her good friend Rita Traxler. She was preceded in death by her parents; her infant daughter Raquel Borgert; and her husband Ivan Strauss in 1998. Memorials may be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan. www.dutcherfh.com
