Shirley A. Pitts, 78, of Coldwater, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Maple Lawn. The funeral service will be Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, prior to the service, beginning at 11:00 AM at Dutcher Funeral Home. Shirley was born July 9, 1940 in Remus, MI to George & Ruth (Craven) Johnson. She married Russell Pitts on June 1, 1957 in Barryton, MI. He preceded her in death on June 4, 1989. Mrs. Pitts worked many years at the former Theodore Bargman Company in Coldwater. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Barryton and a dedicated volunteer for the CHC Ladies Auxiliary. Shirley loved the outdoors and nature, especially plants and gardening. She had an appreciation for art and loved creating crafts. Shirley is survived by her children Teresa Fox of Ionia, Debra (Dennis) Moore of Girard, Cheryl Pitts (Bob Palmateer) of Coldwater, Cindi Pitts (Mike Drumm) of Coldwater, her siblings Gladys Shanteau of Mt. Pleasant, Betty (Bob) Tice of Barryton, Mary Vilbauer of Remus, William (Gail) Johnson of Remus, her grandchildren Natasha, Melissa, Erwin, Freddie, Kari, Cortni; great grandchildren Rhianna, Curtis, Toby, Macy, Dawson, Brycen, Uriah, Chloe, Myla, Cecilia, Cydni, Cooper.
