Obituary for Sharon "Kathy" Kent
Sharon Kathleen “Kathy” Kent, 51, of Bronson, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.
Kathy was born February 7, 1971 in Sturgis, MI to Guindell & Sharon (Hoard) Jeffries. She married Scott Kent on January 5, 1991.
Kathy started working at Maxitrol in Colon around 1997, where she developed many great friendships and wonderful memories through the years. She dedicated many years as a volunteer firefighter and though she enjoyed many things in life, her passion was fire- fighting. After Maxitrol, she finished her working years in healthcare. Kathy’s other passion was gardening. She built a greenhouse from the ground up, with her own two hands. She loved the beauty of the plants and flowers. Kathy was a loving mother and friend and she adored all of her grandchildren - Seth, Carter, Lilly, Izabell, Dawson, Trevor, Brayson, Owen, Abigail and Maddox.
Kathy is survived by her children Travis (Katelyn) Jeffries of Colon, Ashley (Will) Stanton of Syracuse, NY, Tyler (Haley) Kent of El Paso, TX, Devin Kent of Leonidas; her siblings Guindell Jeffries, Jr. of Leonidas, Sheila McGee, Danny, Marvin, Barbara, Donny and Patty all of Kentucky; 9 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
