Obituary for Samual "Sam" Cornish
In great sadness we mourn the loss of our beloved Samual D. Cornish, 41, of Coldwater, son, brother and father. He went to be with the Lord on Monday August 29, 2022 at his home.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 4, 2022 at 2:30 PM at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 136 E. Chicago Rd., Coldwater, with Rev. Kathy Guise officiating and speaker Rev. David Holt.
Samual was born January 21, 1981 in Coldwater, MI to Larry and Eugenia (Binkley) Cornish. He was a manager at Auto Zone in Hillsdale until ill health forced him to retire.
Sam was an avid Michigan State Spartans fan, even naming his favorite companion, his cat “Sparty”. He enjoyed fishing, playing golf and Pokemon and greatly treasured spending time with his family and friends.
Sam is survived by his daughters Faith and Alana Cornish of Jonesville; his parents Larry and Eugenia Cornish of Coldwater; his siblings Jem Cornish of Oakland, China Cornish of Reading; his grandmother Hilda Cornish; aunts and uncles Becky Swaggerty, Max Cornish, Kathy Guise, Jeff Cornish, Sharon Wells, Diana Binkley and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Mack Cornish, Howard & Arlene Binkley.
